Ben Owens

Ben earned his contractors license in 1987 and has managed many residential and commercial projects. He keeps current on energy-efficient trends through research and attending continuing education classes.

As the developer and builder, Owens' most recent housing undertaking has been Park Place and Milling Way Garden Villas both in Mocksville, NC. Industrial contracts have consisted of medical facilities such as labs and offices within hospitals and other free standing physicians' practices, retirement villages, activity centers, restaurants, and construction in the interior of malls. These projects have included locations such as Washington DC, Virginia, Maryland, Mississippi, North and South Carolina.

Ben brings to each project a wide array of skills from the textbook to hands on practices such as specialty interior trim and cabinetry. He has also successful helped his clients in planning and building passive solar houses by assisting in site selections, and making sure the correct materials are used.

Ben and his wife Lynn have one daughter and all three are involved in church, school and community.


Conway Shough

Conway worked at Wachovia bank for 33 years and in 2001 took early retirement. He was an Executive Vice President in the Credit Operations division where he managed a staff of over 700 employees. He also managed various other areas including the computer programming division and check processing.

Since his retirement, he has been actively involved in the design, development and management of Milling Way Garden Villas, Mocksville’s premier 59 unit condo community.

Conway’s primary responsibilities with NUCO Builders are finance, legal and marketing of its single family custom and speculative homes.

Conway and his wife Pat have 2 grown children, three grandchildren and are actively involved at Center Grove Baptist Church in Clemmons.
